Tutorial Stamping on candles.

Hello dear friend/ Hej venner,
First og all, thanks so much for all the sweet comments on my last entry here, it means sooo much to me.

I have promissed some Danish girls, that I would show , how I make my candles with either stamped images or napkinimages on, so I´ve made a little phototurial here for you all, which I hope, you´ll  enjoy and find usable. So here it comes:

First a pic of all you need to make it.
Here´s some images, that I´ve cut out of some napkins, and you don´t need to cut them too close to the image, as the edge wount show that clear.
BUT make sure that you ONLY use the very top layer and peel the rest of and throw away.
Here it´s different stamps, I have stamped on very thin silk paper and then colored, but you can do just as you like, and you can also just print in the silkpaper, if you like, that´s all up to you.
Some images close up, and again, you don´t need to cut too close, as here the edge can´t be seen at all on the silk paper.
Or you can just stamp some sentiments to use too.
Here I´ve taken a long piece of bakingpaperto hold the image on the candle, while I´m heating it. You can also use waxpaper, but the bakingpaper is a bit stronger, as you have to hold it pretty tight.
Place your different images, where you want them, to find out where they all looks best, sotry font and back before setting anything in place just to be sure.
Once you know exactly where you want everything, you take them one at a time and place on the candle, and then you wrap the bakingpaper really tight around it, to make sure it stays, where it should and to keep it totally flat on the candle.
Here it is all wrapped ready to heat on now.
And then you just heat it with the heatgun for a few minutes, while you keep moving the heat tool around all the time, so the candle wount melt. Keep the heatgun about 10 to 15 cm over the cande.
Hold varmepistolem ca. 10 til 15 cm over lyset, mens du arbejder.

Here´s one side of the candles with stamped images on.
 And the other side.
Og her den anden side.

And here´s the first side with the napkins on
 And the other side.
Og her den anden side.

Now you´re ready to begin to decorate your candles further, and on the following pictures you can see some different things, that I´ve chosen to use for mine, but it´s only your own imagination, that sets the limits here. Just always think about, it is candles, so it has to be something, that wount burn, or at least make sure the reciever knows, they need to be careful with it then.
This is a metalplate, that I have curved over a finger to make it fit for the candle.
Her er det en metalplade, som jeg har buet hen over et par fingre, for at tilpasse det lysets kurver.
And here´s a metalband, and some brads, that I use to attach the band to the candle.
And here´s both sets of candles all done.
The big set with stamps close up.
De store lys med stempelbilleder tæt på.

Here you can see, how I´ve attached the metalplate and the band with the brads.

And here real close / Og her virkelig tæt på
Here I had some brads made like a mitten. / Her nogle brads jeg havde lavet som vanter.
And the small candles with napkins on / Og her de små lys med servietter på.
The other side of these / Den anden side af de her.
And here I´ve used a ribbon all at the bpottom and a ribbonbrd to gather it and attach it to the candle.

Look here you can´t seee where it´s been cut out at all anymore.
And here the stamped images.
And very close up. / Og her meget tæt på.

And here they finally all are completely done and ready to wrap as a gift to someone.
You can either make a nice box, that´ll fit exactly for these r you can wrap it up in some cellofane and close it with a nice ribbon and beautiful bow at the top. I most time makes a nice box for them, but that I can maybe show another time thoug.

I hope, you´ve enjoyed my little tutorial here and it´s useful for some of you. If you have any improvements for it or just something, that can be done easier maybe, then I´ll love to hear from you, and ofcause also if you make anything from this, I would also love to hear and see it.

Have a wonderful day everyone and lots of fun making candles here now. Take good care of yourself and have a great week-end til we meet again.

It´s not much, but I have managed to use a few scrap pieces here the last couple of days.

Once again my crazy house here has been turned upside down, as there again the last couple of days were 2 kids, who needed a place to stay while the parents were at work, so there hasn´t been much time for my project then, as they ofcause as usual wants to do lots of things, while they´re here, which ofcause is pretty awesome, but I admit, it has been a bit much this summer, but now they´re all going back to school again in 1½ week, and then I can hopefully get my house back to my "normal" crazyness here ha ha ha.
So as I said, not much time for any big projects here, but instead I pulled out all I had of scraps of simply all kinds. Cardstock, paper, ribbon, embellisments and whatever I had of small leftovers of any kind, and from that I made all these small chocolatcovers, that will be used as small hostessgifts or just a little something for someone now and then, as I need them. I actually think, they turned out pretty okay, even they´re just made from all scraps of any kind, so if there´s something, that doesn´t fit 100% perfect, you know why now.
But here they are, so see what you think for yourself:

Here first a picture of all of them together, and then the next pictures are of them 3 at a time from first one side and then the other side.

Here you can see them from the end, how simple they really are made.
They´re made just to fit 2 of these small Ritter Sport chokolates, so there´ll be just to enjoy for a cup of coffee.

It´s not the biggest creation, but quite useful anyway and I think, it was a good way to get some of all the leftovers used, that we all always get loads of, and it was really small pieces, that got used here, and I always feels good, when I can use even the smallest pieces.
I hope, you like them and if you would like to know more about, how I made these, just yell okay.
Thanks sooo much for all the sweet comments, I´ve got on the previous entries here, it means the worlkd to me, that you all like, what I have to share. And I hope, you´re all having a great time and lots of fun.
Til we meet again next time, have a wonderful day everyone.

And we´ve reached the work here from May now.

And now we´ve got to the work, that I´ve been making around May here. It has been mostly cards, that I was making for a big competition that were set up by Marianne Design in an Australian webstore, but it was open for worldwide entries, so I made 4 entries, just to find out, we were only allowed to enter 2 LOL, so I had to chose just 2 to enter, but here´s all 4 of them thoug, and I´ve also been making a few of those cute tealightholders out of empty toiletrolls. I´ve always been a fan of everything, that I can create by reusing things, we would else normally throw away. And as such I´ve also made my own glass cuttingmat here, as you can see too. I was reading a lot about, they should be soo much better than the selfhealing mats and would save the knifeblades a lot too, so I had been looking around to see, where they could be found and how expensive they were. I also found a couple different ones, but they were pretty  expensive, and then I would even have to order them abroad, and to that price would also come a pretty high postage, because it ofcause, as it was glass weighed quite a bit, and as such was pretty expensive to get shipped here. So I was still thinking forth and back, if it was worth it, when hubby suddenly said, but can´t you use one of the glass shelves from our old fridge, which had gone dead last year. And ofcause I went out to see, and yes quite right, we still had a couple of these shelves standing out in the outbuilding, so out to get one, and yes it was made of safetyglass, that can´t brake, and it even had a fancy plasticedge on it, that fits perfect for the arm to rest on, when I´m cutting. It got out, and was nicely cleaned, and then I found the last of a selfadhesive measurementtape, I had found in the US last year for 2 $. I had already used a part of it to set on the edge of my cuttingtable, and now I was able to use some more of it to cut up and put on all sides of this plate here. And yes it´s right, this cuttingmat is really the best I´ve ever had to cut on, and it haven´t even cost me 2$ to make, as it´s all made of stuff, that would probably have been thrown out, if  we hadn´t got this idea, but now it´s all used to the last bit, which is sooo cool.
But here´s the next pictures, and I hope, you´ll like, what I´ve done here.

This is the cuttingplate I made from the old shelve from the fridge.

And next here is the different small giftboxes I´ve made from those old toiletrolls. They fit just perfectly for some of these fine tealights to go inside for a hostesgift, or you can ofcause also fill them with other things as you like.

Next here are 2 ordinary cards made for a couple of birthdays around here, nothing fancy or special about them.

And then here comes those 4 cards, I made for that Marianne design competition, but unfortunately none of them were picked as winners thoug, but I´m still pretty satisfied with them anyway thoug. Ofcause they could probably have ben better, but they could also been a lot worser thoug ha ha ha

And here´s a couple of small bags, that I made for the girls and decorated with a very special stampimage, that a very sweet girl, Anna here from  http://cuddlebugcuties.blogspot.dk/ had made for Tascha for her birthday, and even called the image for Tascha, so she was sooo proud, she had big tears in her eyes, when she saw it. Anna is a very special girl, who´s drawing the most awesome digistamps and give a lot away for free on her blog very often, so you should go and give her a visit, and see all her wonderful work there.
But she made this as I said and sent for tascha the day before her birthday, so we managed to make a few things with it the first day with the girls themself, and then I made these in the week-end after, when they came here to spend the week-end.

This was the last, you´re gtting tonight here, as it´s getting late here now, and then there´s only one load left til tomorrow, and then I´ve uploaded everything up til now, wxcept from all my old and newer tutorials, that I ofcause are going to upload here again at some time, but not quite sure, if I´ll get that done before the eyesurgery thoug, but now we´ll see, how far I´ll get before then.
I hope, you´ll enjoy all these and as always leave me a comment and let me know, what you think of everything.
Have a wonderful day dear friends and lots of fun till next time.
Biiiiiiiig warm hugs Maryann
